This trio from Athens will have you tapping your toes for sure! Their blend of indie rock and polished pop has won them a local following and regional tour success.

“The name Part Bear is a reference to our music…and I’m hairy,” says singer and guitarist Gray Griggs. “We are a good ole’ rock band … nothing too fancy. We’re just in it to win it.”

Part Bear’s live energetic shows, and charisma on stage is just one of the reason’s they have been invited to perform at next year’s RedGorilla Music Fest.  Their extra promotional tools and feature showcase slot, my friends, is up to you.

The Winter Sounds

With an incredible tour history behind them, The Winter Sounds are the perfect example of a DIY band looking to make it big. The four-piece came to be in January of 2006 as a way for singer/songwriter Patrick Keenan to document his ideas. As time progressed the group decided to take their sound on the road, perfecting each riff, chord, and melody until landing a deal with indie label Livewire Recordings.

The freshman effort, Porcelain Empire, encompasses “the sound of all season, evoking every shimmering, driving, melodic and melancholic cornerstone of the last two decades of indie rock.” (Heeb Magazine) By infusing elements of new wave, punk, and synth pop into their carefully crafted and lyrically inspiring songs to create a wholly new sound.

This summer The Winter Sounds released their second studio album, Pinebox, complete with an international tour to promote the record. As part of that tour, The Winter Sounds have agreed to grace us with their presence at this year’s Road to RedGorilla showcase in Athens, GA. Visit http://www.thewintersounds.com/music for more information of The Winter Sounds and a complete list of tour dates and music.
