Airline Prepares to Take Flight
While they have been compared sonically to the Kinks, The Police, and Pink Floyd, Dallas-based Airline is anything but a throwback. Ranging from pensive to explosive, their sound is the sum of the creative tension between four opinionated musicians.
The band hammers away at each song until the arrangement is taut and visceral. “We don’t quite fit the slacker image of just jamming away in the garage. We’ve been known to argue over the placement of one bass note or chord voicing. But when the song finally clicks, we all know it,” explains Airline.

Merging melodic song craft with psychedelically infused sounds, Sunwards music moves in a refreshing direction somewhere between indie-pop and space rock. While their compositions are steeped in lush, heady audioscapes painted by atmospheric violin, guitar and synthesizers, Sunward never abandons the most important element of a rock song, the melody.
Sunward’s style is a quirky retro-pop that is both cerebral and catchy.Sunward recently released their full-length album entitled, “Ladies and Gentlemen, Start Your Horses,”
Sunward will be rocking Club Data for Road to RedGorilla. Check out the tunes at www.myspace.com/sunward
